Pain Areas

Reluctance to Report: A majority of students do not report bullying in schools to adults. This can be due to fear of retaliation, not wanting to worry parents, being ashamed that they can’t defend themselves, feeling that nothing can change the situation, and fearing the teacher or parent would make the situation worse.
Lack of Awareness: Awareness regarding bullying and its negative impacts is a serious issue. It is as there is a lack of complete information and public understanding regarding the gravity of the issue.
Bullying is Appreciated: Bullying, in most cases, is appreciated by the ones who are supposed to condemn it. The one who is bullied is often considered weak and unable to defend himself.
Psychological Causes: There are sometimes psychological reasons responsible for bullying. Often the one who bullies suffers some mental retardation.
Physical Health Consequences: The physical health consequences of bullying can be immediate, such as physical injury, or they can involve long-term effects, such as headaches, sleep disturbances, or somatization.
